Good Kid: 'This Can't Be The End' Tour Live At The Crocodile

Saturday March 30th was a sold-out show; the venue was packed front to back. Based out of Ontario, Good Kid – the rapidly growing indie-rock band – began their fourth, and possibly their largest, headlining tour around the globe. Starting in Vancouver, the band rocked their way over to Seattle the very next night. On previous tours, they usually brought their incredible energy to Madame Lou's, which is a smaller and more intimate venue. This time, they were able to bring the party to the venue upstairs, The Crocodile, with a much larger and taller stage. They brought Adan Diaz along with them as their opener. This highly energetic 5-piece band consists of frontman Nick Frosst, Michael Kozakov on bass and background vocals, David Wood on guitar and additional vocals, Jacob Tsafatinos on guitar, and Jon Kereliuk on drums. However, Seattle's show date was missing Michael that night; and in his place, they had a cardboard cutout of Michael and his bass on stage. There were multiple moments throughout the show where Michael had solos to perform, and as Michael's back track played, Nick moved his cardboard cutout around stage. They created such a special moment for Michael to feel included. It was a lively evening with a full house. Fans got to hear songs from their debut album and EP releases. They opened with "No Time to Explain" from Good Kid 3; and also from that album, fans got to hear "First Rate Town," "Madeleine," and "Mimi's Delivery Service." I was very excited to hear "First Rate Town," as it is one of their catchiest songs from their 2023 releases. From Good Kid 4, we got to hear "Bubbly," "Dance Class," and "Summer." Overall, this night was such a blast to capture. If you're a fan of music that belongs in video games and/or small-town movies, I would highly recommend you check out Good Kid. Originating in 2013, they seem to be growing up quick with fans both new and old along for the ride. Keep up with Good Kid and future show dates here.
